The History of Talokar


The Talokar,are a gotra (clan) of Maratha, found in also Maharashtra, province of pronounced Thalokar, are a gotra (clan) of Jats, found in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
History and origin
According to their traditions, they are the related to Sial and Tiwana tribes. Supposedly all three tribes of descendants from three brothers, Tila, Sila and Taloka, who were Panwar Rajputs. However, today, the Talokars are generally counted as Jats rather than Rajputs in the Punjab.They letter know as Veer Marathas. The some of tribe is said to have accepted Islam at the hands of the famous Sufi Baba Farid Shukar Gunj. The Talokars came from East Punjab in India, and first settled near Bhera and Akolkhed in Maharshtra. Their first villages were Kalara and Kurrar Talokar. From there, they spread to the east side of the Indus River, founding the villages of Bakharra (Kacha), Ding and Khola (Thal), parts of Peshawer valley,Bannu and Mianwali District. Also they spread in west side of India founding village Akolkhed and Dalmbi Kolambi. Some of them even reached as far as the Attock area and Hazara District of the former North-West Frontier Province--as attested by the name of Talokar village in Haripur area, there-- but were eventually displaced and driven out by various Afghan/Pathan clans circa the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
Distribution & villages
The Talokar are today mainly found in the districts of Khushab, Sargodha and Mianwali districts. Also in India Maharashtra Vidhrabh Region.
Their main villages in India Akola District(Akolkhed, Dalmbi kolambi, Karla, etc. ) are Talokar in Pakistan Khushab District are Talokar, Talokar Shumali, Talokar Jannubi and Chak Talokaranwala (Mehmood Shaheid )and many other chakooks in ( Noor Pur Thal )), and in Mianwali District are (Ding Khola Talokar) (New Ding Sharif, Saeed Abad (Sharqi and Gharbi), Lal Khelan wala, Zaman Kelan wala, Hashim Naggar, Tahir Abad, Shahbaz Khelanwala and Khanqah Sirrajia.
There Are Many Jat Tribes Are Living In Mianwali District (Ding Khola Talokar) (New Ding Sharif, Saeed Abad (Sharqi and Gharbi), Lal Khelan wala, Zaman Kelan wala, Hashim Naggar, Tahir Abad, Shahbaz Khelanwala and Khanqah Sirrajia.The Famous Jat Tribes Are,Lato Khel (Nawab Of Ding Khola Malik Muhammad Saeed Jat Lato Khel Talokar,A Well Known Campanion of Maulana Abdul Sattar Khan Niazi And A Leader Of JUI And He Was An Active Partner Of Maulana Abdul Sattar Khan Niazi In The Creation Of Pakistan),Shahbaz Khel,Baqir Khel,Yaroo Khel,Shadoo Khel,Masti Khel,Fojay Khel,Bakhshy Khel,Mehar Khel,Jewaye Khel,Jamal Khel,Dost Khel,Jalal Khel,Sahalat Khel,Sher Khel,Niazi Khel and many more
